Filmmaker Erika Valenciana will screen and discuss her award-winning documentary Broken Flight, which highlights the work of dedicated avian advocates, scientists, and veterinarians who rescue, study, and catalog the thousands of birds that collide with Chicago’s buildings each year.

Following the screening, Valenciana will be joined by Annette Prince, Director of Chicago Bird Collision Monitors, to discuss her organization’s lifesaving efforts and the broader challenges facing migratory birds in urban environments.
