Lincoln Landing
Lincoln Landing memorializes the history and people of Lockport and Abraham Lincoln’s Illinois and Michigan Canal connections. Visitors are welcome to enjoy this unique open-air museum year-round.
Heritage Village
249 W. 2nd Street
The Heritage Village is a collection of 19th century original buildings that were saved from demolition from around Will County.
The Village is open for tours during the first weekend of the month from May to October from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Illinois State Museum Lockport Gallery
201 West 10th Street
The Lockport Gallery features changing exhibitions of art created by past and contemporary Illinois artists and artisans. Paintings, drawings, sculptures, quilts, and other decorative and ethnographic arts are showcased in rotating, theme-based exhibitions augmented by interpretive materials.
Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Area
As America’s first National Heritage Area, the I&M Canal National Heritage Area is an outdoor museum where visitors can discover more about the history of the I&M Canal and its impact. Visitors can also enjoy water activities such as kayaking, rafting, and fishing, or spend time hiking one of the area’s many trails.
Gladys Fox Museum
231 E 9th St.
Maintained by the Lockport Township Park District, the Gladys Fox Museum is located in the 1839 Old Congregational Church. Beautifully restored, this historic building is now home to the museum’s collection of historical photographs and memorabilia celebrating Dellwood Park and the Illinois and Michigan Canal.
Will County Historical Society Museum
803 S. State Street
Located in the original 1837 canal headquarters building, the Illinois and Michigan Canal Museum offers 10 rooms filled with artifacts, pictures, and documents relating to the construction and operation of the canal.

Public Landing Restaurant
The Public Landing is an upscale casual dining restaurant on the first floor of the Gaylord Building. With a spacious outdoor courtyard overlooking the I&M Canal and Lincoln Landing park, Public Landing offers a chance to enjoy the scenery of Lockport during your fine dining experience.
